It’s a wonderful job to be someone who can empower a woman and help them to connect with their inner beauty. For this shoot, we combined the amazing makeup artistry talents of D.D. Nickel and sexy lingerie by Josie from Beneath the Gown in Branford, CT, with the industrial decor of Bar in New Haven, CT. Regardless of what you’re wearing and where you are, you will always truly radiate when you feel beautiful. The lovely Kaitlyn was a gem to work with and we had so much fun dressing her up… and down!

Elise + Phil :: Bar Engagement :: New Haven, CT

Elise has been a close friend since before we were born! We grew up together as our mothers were and still are best friends. When we heard she was engaged, we knew that we would have the honor of photographing her love on one of the most beautiful days of her life. Phil fits perfectly into her family and we are over the moon about photographing them. We decided to grab a beer at Bar in New Haven, CT and take their engagement photos around Bar’s industrial decor. Shooting their engagement photos was a blast and we can’t wait to release their wedding photos on the blog!

Photographing Nickie and Ryan’s tropical wedding in Tulum, Mexico was even more fantastic than Chris and Jacklyn could have expected. Exploring the city, adventuring through the jungle, and finding secret cenotes was the cherry on top of it all. Nickie and Ryan were so open with their love and really allowed Jacklyn and Chris into their world. They were an absolute breath of fresh air to work with and added fantastic elements to make their day complete. The Zulum Beach and Cabanas was an amazing location for their ceremony and reception. Their small wedding made for a more intimate experience, their colors tied in perfectly with the tropical surroundings, and they even had a fire dancer for more fun!

We are so happy to see this wedding featured extensively throughout Destination Weddings and Honeymoons. Since Nickie and Ryan are absolutely wonderful and had a location as beautiful as Tulum, we can understand why!
