Earthy and Sustainable, yet simple and deeply meaningful
This nature inspired botanical garden wedding was an intimate, spiritual family gathering. The focus of this event was welcoming Dan into Farah’s family culture and religion. Farah’s family is from Guyana in South America and is of Muslim faith, while Dan’s family is from Albany, NY and is a mix of Jewish and Bahai.
While Farah got ready, Dan guided guests on a nature walk through the forest. They ended at the Old Saw Mill where their ceremony took place. The NY Botanical Garden includes the only remaining forest in NYC so they both have deep connections with the area. After the ceremony, they guided their guests to different parts of the gardens. Most note-worthy was a special exhibit on medicinal plants from around the world.
