Matthew + Jordan | Proposal | London, England | Part I

03/09/2011

Awoken by a phone call that would literally rock my world… Matthew called me in secret after he and his partner Jordan saw the spread of Andrew and Jeremy’s wedding in Martha Stewart Wedding Magazine…. Initially, he was just inquiring about wedding photos.  When I asked him the date for their wedding, he explained that on an upcoming trip, to visit friends in London and Switzerland, he was going to propose to Jordan in London on the banks of the Thames River with a dinner to follow at Beach Blanket Babylon.  I responded with… “that’s a great idea… of course I’ll go!”

Perfectly planned, executed and captured, we were honoured to be there with them in LONDON for what was a very special weekend!

And now I hand my blog over to Matthew and Jordan to write about their photo series… Enjoy!

– Jacklyn

What better way to say, thank you, then to dedicate the upcoming series of photos to our family and friends, for your unconditional love and support.  Also, to Jacklyn and Chris for these beautiful photos which are forever engrained in our hearts…. And finally to Andrew and Jeremy, whom we have only met through your images, thank you for giving us the hope, confidence and courage to create our own photos.

May we all continue to inspire!

–        Matthew & Jordan

The plan went off with absolute perfection… Jordan had no clue of the surprise… When we arrived at the restaurant, Beach Blanket Babylon, the official venue for fashion week in London, we were greeted by 10 of our friends from the US and UK who shared a night of eating, drinking and best wishes. We even had time to sneak off to a secluded room with Jacklyn and Chris to shoot some of the photos below….

Stay tuned… Part 2 – the Day After Engagement Shoot in London is next!!
